Lucy grew up honing her singing skills in choirs, musicals, and the shower, but a White Stripes concert at the age of 11 sealed her fate—she was hooked on rock n’ roll. During her second year at the University of Pittsburgh, she met Mac Inglis, and saw Memphis Hill perform for the first time. She was blown away by their sound, so a year later, when Mac invited her to sing with Memphis Hill, she jumped at the chance. Lucy models her vocal and live performances off of singers like Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Alison Mosshart, Robert Plant, and Annie Clark (St. Vincent). Live performance is her passion, and she is rarely happier than when she is at a show—whether on stage or in the audience, she finds it hard to stand still, or stop smiling.
